NEW GIRLS SOCCER PROGRAMS
Coaches, Players and Parents,
Pittsgrove is adding girls traveling soccer to its list of available soccer programs. Traveling soccer will start at the U8 age group for the Fall of 2008.
We are interested in developing all of our players, from the beginning player in our recreational program to our high school aged players.
Our programs are built upon providing opportunities for players of all levels to have an opportunity to play; we seek opportunities for players to play from the recreational level to SJGSL travel leagues to JAGS and MAPS.
The Pittsgrove Soccer Club will be adding a new position to our club.
Director of Soccer: Pittsgrove Girls Program
Seamus O'Connor will be filling this newly created position.
Seamus has experience as follows:
Seamus O'Connor has established himself as a talented coach on the youth, collegiate, and professional levels. He is the current coach at Chestnut Hill College in Pennsylvania. He recently completed a stint as Head Coach of the CDSA Future, a Dover, DE entry in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) - the 2nd ranked league in the world for women. Competing with local high school and Division III college women in a league featuring players from the US Women's National Pool, National Pool players from other countries, and Division I players from some of the nation's top programs, he directed the Future to a very respectable 5th place finish that included 5 one-goal losses.
On the youth front, O'Connor was the Director of the Super Y League program for the Reading Rage where he oversaw the running of five boy's teams - two of which qualified for the Super Y League National Finals. O'Connor was selected as Head Coach for the U16 Boys team to represent the Mid-Atlantic Region at the Super Y League National ODP Camp. Additionally, he assisted Chestnut Hill College’s Assistant Coach Jody Roberts in the development of Philadelphia Soccer Club's Coppa United into a top 35 team nationally. Coppa United was an EPYSA State Cup finalist, a Jefferson Cup champion, and appeared in the Dallas Cup, Surf Cup, and Super Y League National Finals in addition to playing the Chinese U17 MNT to a 1-1 draw.
With the appointment of Seamus to this position he will focus his efforts on growing the girls program overall. We feel certain that having Seamus manage the development of the girls program will make a tremendous positive impact in the development of our girls.
We want to provide an opportunity to all girls to have a place to play.
We have a lot of exciting plans for growing our girls program and we will be sharing more of those ideas with you in the very near future.
Tryouts and other info will be coming in the near future.
Anyone with questions about the girls programs can contact Seamus O'Connor at email@example.com or Dave Hayman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yours in soccer,
Pittsgrove Soccer Club
